How to Commission a Painting

Thank you for your interest in commissioning a painting from me. I approach each commission as a deeply personal collaboration, creating artwork that aligns with your vision while staying true to my artistic process. Below is a step-by-step guide on how we can bring your idea to life.

1. Initial Inquiry & Concept Discussion

  • Email me at zarina@zarinastudio.com with a brief introduction and what you have in mind for the commission.

  • Include size preferences, color palette, inspirations, and any specific elements you’d like to see in the piece.

  • If you're unsure of the details, we can schedule a consultation to refine the concept together.

2. Proposal & Agreement

  • Once we define the scope, I’ll provide a detailed proposal including pricing, estimated timeline, and payment structure.

  • A 40-60% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your commission and initiate the creative process.

  • A commission agreement will outline all project details to ensure clarity and alignment.

3. Creation Process & Updates

  • Throughout the creation process, I’ll provide progress updates and, if desired, in-progress photos.

  • Minor adjustments can be made within reason, keeping in mind the organic nature of my artistic approach.

  • The timeline varies based on complexity, but most commissions take between 4-8 weeks.

4. Final Approval & Delivery

  • Once completed, I will share final images for your approval.

  • The remaining balance must be paid before shipping or delivery.

  • Paintings can be shipped worldwide or hand-delivered in the Dallas area.

  • Custom framing options are available upon request.

Collaborations with Interior Designers & Art Consultants

  • I welcome collaborations with interior designers and art consultants to create bespoke pieces that enhance a space’s aesthetic and conceptual vision.

  • Custom commissions can be tailored to specific color schemes, dimensions, and thematic requirements to align with your project needs.

  • Additional portfolio of past projects is available upon request.
